Meet the team

Xenia: Managing Director

Xenia: Managing Director

The unexamined life is not worth living." This timeless wisdom from Socrates resonates deeply with my career. For over a decade, I've dedicated myself to the disability and aged care sectors, not just as a job, but as a commitment to a life of purpose.

As the Managing Director of Apex Care, my background in nursing, business administration, and accounting has equipped me to merge compassionate care with effective management. My work is driven by a simple mission: to empower individuals to live with dignity and control. This passion is deeply personal, inspired by the lived experiences of loved ones who faced mental illnesses and disabilities. I believe that true success is found in the confidence people gain when they are genuinely heard and supported to thrive.

Beyond my professional life, I find joy in examining the world through travel, spending time outdoors fishing, and cheering on my favourite sports teams. As a devoted dog lover, my greatest joy is caring for my family and our beloved pets.

Raymond: Managing Director

Raymond: Managing Director

I have dedicated the last 15 years to the disability and aged care sectors as the Managing Director of Apex Care. My background in both accounting and aged care has given me a deep understanding of the industry's financial complexities. My work is not just about numbers; it's about ensuring our services are financially sound so we can continue to provide effective and sustainable care for the people who need it most.

Outside of my professional life, I find immense joy in getting outdoors with my family. We love to explore through four-wheel driving and camping, and I also have a passion for traveling to new places. But my greatest joy is simply spending time with my family and our beloved cutie pie, Dimsim the Pug!

Catherine: Operations Manager

Catherine: Operations Manager

My career has been shaped by a simple belief: everyone should have the opportunity to live the life they choose, in the way that works best for them. Over the years, I’ve worked across government, not-for-profit, disability, and corporate sectors, but my focus has always been the same — listening to people, understanding what’s important to them, and finding practical ways to make those things happen.

I’ve had the privilege of working alongside NDIS participants, their families, and their communities to design supports that honour dignity, choice, and control. Whether it’s improving operational systems, growing services to reach more people, or simply having the right conversation at the right time, my goal is always to make things easier, clearer, and more empowering for the people I support.

What drives me most is seeing people gain confidence, try new things, and feel truly heard. For me, success isn’t just about meeting service goals — it’s about seeing individuals thrive and knowing they’ve had a genuine say in shaping their own journey.

Sarsha: Compliance Manager

Sarsha: Compliance Manager

I am the Compliance Manager at Apex Care, bringing with me over 20 years’ experience as a practising solicitor in personal injury law and a genuine passion for supporting people with disability.

Having lived experience in the disability and NDIS sector has given me a personal understanding of the challenges and aspirations of NDIS participants, and I understand first-hand the importance of respect, dignity, and truly listening to each person’s story. This perspective shapes my work, ensuring our policies and practices don’t just meet regulations, but also reflect the heart of person-centred care.

My role is all about supporting our team to provide services that are safe, ethical, and tailored to each individual—helping every participant feel valued, empowered, and understood.

Currently serving as a Service Manager in Apex Care, I oversees scheduling and roster management, service delivery, and maintains high-quality care for residents.

Michelle: Support Coordinator

Michelle: Support Coordinator

My journey as a Support Coordinator has always been rooted in a deep commitment to helping others live with dignity, independence, and purpose. Every day, I work alongside clients navigating their NDIS plans, ensuring they receive the tailored support they need to achieve their goals. Whether it's coordinating complex care teams or advocating for person-centred approaches, I strive to make each interaction meaningful and empowering. I believe that collaboration is the heartbeat of quality care, and I bring a calm, solutions-focused mindset to every situation.

But beyond the professional, I’m someone who thrives on connection. When I’m not working, you’ll find me on the footy field playing in an AFL Women’s Vets team or cheering from the sidelines as my kids chase the ball at their soccer games. Family time is my anchor, it keeps me grounded, energised, and reminds me why I do what I do.

This balance between professional dedication and personal joy is what drives me. I bring the same passion, teamwork, and resilience from the field and family life into my role, always striving to support others with empathy, respect, and a genuine desire to make a difference.

Alex: SIL Houses Coordinator

Alex: SIL Houses Coordinator

I left my ten-year career in finance and business banking, driven by a deep desire to make a meaningful difference. From my earliest years, I cherished the opportunity to support people with disabilities in my school community - and those fond memories laid the foundation for my career transformation. While completing my Certificate IV in Community Services, I began working as a Disability Support Worker. It quickly became the most rewarding job I’d ever held, confirming for me that this is where I was meant to be.

Encouraged by the belief and support of my colleagues and seniors, I transitioned into a Practice Leader role - before ultimately stepping into this SIL House Coordinator position with Apex Care. Today, I bring both leadership and empathy to the role, committed to fostering person centred, empowering environments for everyone in our care.

We recognise the objectives of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
